What are the fees and methods of payment?

Our fee is $250 per 50 minutes of services. Payments are made via e-transfer sent to your clinician’s email address. Our services are covered by most major insurance providers. As plans vary in coverage and referral requirements, it is best to speak to your insurance provider about the details of your plan prior to your first appointment.

What is the cancellation policy?

While your appointment time is reserved just for you, we understand life can be unpredictable and you may need to change or cancel your session. We require that you provide at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. If your appointment is on a Monday, you will need to cancel on the Friday before. The full fee will be charged for late cancellations or missed appointments.

 

How do I book the first session?

Please reach out to our Valorem email  – info@valorempsychology.ca  to discuss your needs. Once the first session is scheduled, you will receive an email confirming the details of your appointment. You will also receive an invite to use Jane (our online practice management platform), where you will be able to review and sign the consent form, as well as fill out any intake questionnaires that might apply, and meet us virtually. Filling out these forms beforehand will provide your clinician with important information for your first session. 

 

How do you offer services?

The majority of our work occurs virtually using Jane. We are able to travel to you for complex consultations, group training, high-security consultation or various types of assessments.

What do I do if I have an emergency?

If you are actively suicidal, go to the closest hospital emergency room or call 911.
